Being truthful to the integrity of the particular song. What does the song want? what story does it need to tell? As songwriters we are a vessel…it’s a message that come thru, and the style will depend on that.
I am working on new music video for song “Untamed Circus.” I am also working on 5th album songs already, though the 4th album “Untamed Circus” was just released this past summer. “Untamed Circus” has been entered in the Grammy awards best album category, and songs “Raquel,” and “Party Stoppers Suck,” have also been entered (as best rock performance, rock songs, and music video). In addition, am also working on a documentary/ behind the scenes film, as well as an acting project.
Every show contains timeless memories. Each is special to me … a bolt of electricity! If I can open my heart and soul and share the songs I write, that is a “best memory” to me.
I did many online, live stream, and virtual concerts during the lock downs. I also decided to restore my baby grand piano for this purpose. It was important to me to keep doing, keep writing, singing, recording, expanding and sharing light especially during a time the world needed it the most.
My website it constantly updated, with more upcoming shows and news and the option of subscribing to newsletter. I also have a youtube channel with latest videos.

Amped magazine:
Skye Delamey is an L.A. based Rock/Pop artist with an interesting mixture of hard rock head bangers and pop/rock ballads. She can bring the bone-jarring noise, but also has a softer side. This contrast works well to her advantage, and shows that she is more than a one-trick pony with just one type of music to share with the world.
“Mercury” is a classic metal tune with loud, jarring electric guitars and heavy drums. It has a dark, slithery vibe to it and is unapologetic in its auditory assault of the senses. “Thor” is a slower, quieter track offered up by Delamey. It’s a piano-driven ballad with an ethereal Stevie Nicks feel to it. Delamey's piano playing is top-notch. Skye Delamey is an artist with creative ideas and a no-holds barrel approach.

Tell us about yourself ?
Skye Delamey *solo artist with back up band (rock) Los Angeles, California, USA Goal in life: To continue to make music and share my songs with the world. This is my life’s goal and purpose.
How long you been in performing arts ?
since early childhood
What was most attractive part for you to be in this industry ?
Meeting interesting people, colorful personalities. Bringing people together, through shows and performances, contributing to the music scene, bringing people together, and sharing my songs, as well as the message behind the songs I write. Speaking to an audience has been another attractive aspect of the industry…to have a “voice.”
Share some experiences ( good or bad ) any that made you grow in life or profession ?
As a child in traditional school, knowing that my life path would be more creative. I very seriously embarked upon my profession after high school, knowing that was the only path for me. Good experiences include many creative projects, songs written and recorded, performances, and results…these continue to inspire me to grow in my profession.
Who inspired you ? How do you work on creating your own signature style ?
As a teen, I was inspired by Bono, and the music of U2. I have also been inspired by strong females who were not afraid to mold the life they wanted for themselves. I admired the guts it took to pave your own way.
What do you want to convey through your music?
Each song I write tell a unique story. Through my songs I want to share human emotion, share a story, share a common thread that bonds us…It means a lot to me when many from different walks of life can relate to my songs.
Story behind making of your new track / Album? ( idea of making , some interesting inspirational facts to share)
New upcoming album “Untamed Circus” is about empowerment. About living to the beat of your own dream, about standing up for yourself, honoring yourself and speaking your truth. “Detention, “Girlfriend Muzzle,” “Raquel,” and the title track, “Untamed Circus” are all about freedom to be empowered and not “caged,” confined, or “dismissed.” They are all songs of empowerment and freedom.
Any interesting trivia about making of song ?
One track, “Language of Ghosts,” which is the only song on the album with a message relating to the “ghosts that speak to us, guiding us/helping us…” has a cute story… During the making of the music video of this song about ghosts, many light bulbs kept burning out in my house…almost daily! Until the video was done! I felt it was the spirit of my friend Amanda Tate, for whom the song was dedicated.
People who you would like to thank ?
Amanda Tate, the friend who always inspired me, and had my back. The friend for whom I wrote the song “Language of Ghosts.” Also, “Taz,” a dear friend. I would also like to thank producer Bobby Moore, and the band members that performed my songs with me.
People who you would like to work with and people you idolize to be like professionally ?
Bono! Glen Ballard, Quincy Jones, many music makers…I have respect for many who are still doing their work! Dolly Parton…
Where do you see your music 3 years from now ?
I see many more albums in the next 3 years, as well as for the rest of my life! I see songs on radio, in film, TV, and commercials. This is my life’s path, so I”m going full throttle! There will be consistently more music, more shows, more placements of songs…as I am filled with songs, melodies and harmonies!!
How would you like to stretch your boundaries of genre in future projects ?
I love exploring different genres and have an interest writing a country song, an adult contemporary or other genres as well!

by Richie Frieman Renaissance Songstress and Hollywood native Skye Delamey can essentially pick and choose what musical genre she wishes to represent from day to day, song to song. She is after all, a classically trained vocalist with a four octave range… and with that kind of talent; you can do what you want.Delamey showcases these skills on her latest record, “Songstress Secrets: Confessions of the Soul”, a collection she says is “an honest preview into the soul of a songstress. It’s simple, but yet so complex… a combination of spiritual, and grounded, haunting, yet sweet, and sexy.” She also says to expect “Melodic, yet heavy guitars in some cases… No matter who your audience, people listen to what style is true to the integrity of the song. So my job, is to make sure of that, and stay to true to the song.” Definitely get into these confessions and keep an eye out for so much more from Skye – she’s also an actress and is seeking the launch of her own brand: Skyewear. There’s a whole lot more to get into, so keep reading for all the answers to the XXQ’s.XXQs: Skye DelameyPensEyeView.com (PEV): How would you describe your sound and what do you feel makes you stand out over the others in your genre?
Skye Delamey (SD): The combination of spiritual, and grounded, haunting, yet sweet, and sexy. Melodic, yet heavy guitars in some cases. I can be put in the genre or rock, singer songwriter, pop, punk, or metal, and to me being that versatile an artist, and songwriter is what stands out. No matter who your audience, people listen to what style is true to the integrity of the song. So my job, is to make sure of that, and stay to true to the song.
PEV: Calling Hollywood, California home, what kind of music where you into growing up? Was anyone your main influence?
SD: Dio, iron maiden, ozzy, the eagles, the doors, Led Zeppelin, U2.
PEV: Was there a certain point in your life when you knew you wanted music to be a large part of your life, if not the biggest part?
SD: Literally from the time I could crawl I wanted to play piano..
From a very young age my dream was to sing, to make music, and to be able to share it with the world.
PEV: Tell us about your first ever live performance.
SD: Too many to think back…I would say I was very young, and the nerves felt like adrenalin, and excitement. It’s an indescribable feeling, but being on stage felt so good.
PEV: What was it like for you when you first started out and making the transition to professional musician?
SD: A lot of training. Focusing on the actual work, craft Singing, training vocals, piano, professional songwriting. It does all entail an education. I really took it upon myself to learn all that I could musically, including the theory, and most advanced chords, and styles of songwriting, etc.
PEV: Do you remember the first time you thought to yourself – “I am really onto something!”?
SD: Every time I write a song that’s the thought!
PEV: What can fans expect from a live Skye Delamey show?
SD: Very engaging, very exciting, and very good musically, as well as visually theatrical.
PEV: What is the first thing that comes to mind when you step on stage?
SD: Excitement and joy, it feels so right.
PEV: What is the underlining inspiration for your music? Where do get your best ideas for your songs?
SD: The inspiration some times falls on my lap, other times, I seek it…Every time, however, when I tune in, it just comes through me.
PEV: Tell us more about your latest release and why you feel so passionate about this project. What can fans expect from this work?
SD: ”Songstress Secrets: Confessions of the soul” is an honest preview into the soul of a songstress. It’s simple, but yet so complex. It is definitely very unique, and also touches about things from love, to the god of thunder, and L.A.’s biggest thunderstorm, in “Thor,” to songs after life such as “Another Chapter.”
PEV: Describe the kind of mindset you have to be in to record a song?
SD: Very clear on my song. Very organized, and knowing the song is ready to be recorded. Recording is a fun creative process, and being ready to record with a polished song makes it more fun and efficient.
PEV: What’s one thing we’d be surprised to hear about Skye Delamey?
SD: My fetish these days are bubble baths…love my baths! Also, I’m a vegetarian. My favorite place on earth to visit is Kaiwaii, Hawaii.
PEV: What one word best describes Skye Delamey?
SD: RenaissanceSongstress.
PEV: How is life on the road for you in the music world? Best and worst parts?
SD: Gong into new cities is exciting and always fun and interesting. The worse part-long rides, distance.
PEV: Is there one area you wish you could travel around and play that you have not yet? Why?
SD: Australia, for it’s many wonders. As a musician, it’s important to share our music with other parts of the world.
PEV: How have all your friends and family reacted to your career? What’s it like when you get to play in your hometown, and in front of your family/friends?
SD: They have all been very supportive, which has been a wonderful blessing.
PEV: What can we find you doing in your spare time, aside from playing/writing music?
SD: Walking my dog, working out, hanging out with good friends
PEV: Is there an up and coming band or artist you think we should all be looking out for now?
SD: Anyone with a unique sound and vision, to expand our consciousness as an audience
PEV: If you weren’t playing music now what do you think you would be doing as your career?
SD: Acting (which I still plan on doing more of!)
PEV: So, what is next for Skye Delamey?
SD: So many projects! More albums to come, many more live performances, Skyewear clothing line, more videos, film projects. This entry was posted in Featured Artist by

During our interview, I learned that Skye not only went to UCLA, she also went to Loyola Marymount and Stella Adler, and has had an array of impressive acting coaches.
As a recording artist, Skye has worked with Michael Blum (Producer), James Lugo, Phil Brown, Bobby Moore, Ry Welch, Skip Saylor and David Longoria, among others.

Interview clip from Kush magazine:
Q (Kush magazine): First off, how have you been in general?
A (Skye Delamey): Wonderful, excited and enthusiastic about may new projects!
Have there been any inspirations and supports (friends, family, teachers, etc...)?
Pin up girls have always been an inspiration for me, and the Vargas girl. It reminds of the song from the musical "South Pacific," that goes "I enjoy being a girl!" Makeup, clothes, props, garters, stockings and shoes, and the desire and joy of dressing up has been an inspiration. Print magazines, and posters, and pulp, and pin up, and vintage art have also been an inspiration. In addition, retro pin up posters, Bette Paige, Marylin Monroe, Jane Mansfield, Gene Harlow, etc. from old Hollywood have also been an inspiration. It's the glorification and celebration of femininity that I really like.
What do you hope to accomplish through this journey?
To bring joy to the world, also inspire others, and re-emphasize the feminine. In today's world where so many women are ball busters, which is great, it's easy to overlook the softness of the feminine, and how much fun it is to express that! Some times looking at drag Queens, we can be reminded of how much they enjoy the sequined, eye shadow, and mascara, and how your average girl can take all those things for granted!
Is there any message you are trying to send out to others?
Yes-"live life to the beat of your own drummer," and "live your passions because that is what keeps you alive"
Is there a regime that you follow to keep yourself looking professional?
Yes-fitness is religion, in the words of Madonna and her trainer. Diet, detoxing, fasting or cleansing on fruit such as papaya. Also, facials, exfoliating, and good skin creams. Using organic or healthy body creams and oils such as avocado or almond or coconut oil as a moisturizer. Meditating to be at emotional calm. Hanging upside down to decompress and stretch. Also, getting enough or extra sleep whenever needed. Sleep and rest is so crucial!
Do you have any funny/inspirational stories about this journey?
Well, knowing how to pack light, take hats, sunscreen, and deep conditioner when you travel! Even on a tropical vacation, you gotta take care of your skin, hair etc!
Skye Delamey interview on
Hollywood Rock-n-roll.com
Interview with musician/recording artist Skye Delamey regarding newest album
"Songstress Secrets," and music video releases.
Q What are some of your latest projects?
A I just completed "Songstress Secrets" album, which is my only acoustic album I have so far. It's about "confessions of the soul." In other words, I wanted to shed light on the simplicity of just vocals and piano playing and the strength of a song even it it's most raw form. Along with the album, we also finished the video Thor.
Q What is "Thor" about?
Thor was written in 2008 on the night of L.A.'s biggest thunderstorm. I was sitting at my piano and the song just came through me. That night I wrote many songs, also including "The Girls," and others. It was like being hit by a musical lightning bolt.
Q How long have you been singing or playing?
Since the time I could crawl, I was fascinated by the piano keys on my dad's accordion. I fell in love with the keys, and soon was introduced to a keyboard, then a piano. As a young child, I began playing, writing songs, and falling in love with music. It was like being given a voice to express, through songs and piano playing, what I felt, including what could not be explained. Creating music can tap into parts of the unconscious, or parts of your spirit, almost as if you are in a trance. It is a cosmic experience. So, to encounter that as a child, was pretty amazing. And, I never looked back.
Q Where does you inspiration come from?
As a music medium, it always, every time, just comes to me, and whatever the subject or concept, it is always as clear as day. It's a very natural process. Some times the inspiration lands on my lap, other times, I am inspired and motivated by something and that gives birth to a song.
Q You've also made your music video directing debut in recent years. Can you talk about that process?
A As a story teller, it felt natural to put the songs into a visual concept. So, directing videos such as "the girls," "devil in an evening dress," or recently "Thor," were a natural and fun process.
Q What is the message behind your music?
It is all based on the calling behind the inspiration. From "Thor", to songs about after life, such as "another chapter," or "I see you there." Then there is "The girls," about space girls who come to earth, or "Renaissance Past," about a spirit reborn and brand new in this reality.

"A true artist is versatile...loud as can be or soft as a lullaby. Your voice is your volume switch if you sing, and your fingertips are your volume switch if you play. The artist gets to decide..and in music theory my favorite is the "furmata" which means you as the artist decide how long to hold the note past the given value.." -Skye Delamey
Interview with Singer/Songwriter
Skye Delamey
by Alison Cohen Masson on December 8th cover of All Access Magazine.
Interview with Singer/Songwriter Skye Delamey
Skye Delamey was put on this planet to create music. She literally fell in love with music before she could even walk. From the moment she crawled over to her first organ, she had found her destiny. To date, Skye has released three CD’s, has a fourth CD “Skye’s Wonderland” in the works for 2012, and has even directed five of her own music videos. She recently released her first entirely acoustic CD, “Songstress Secrets: Confessions of the soul,” and has started her own online magazine, Stacatto.tv, which is a place for her to share her knowledge of Music Theory and to really give back to the Community.
Metal Babe: I’ve really enjoyed preparing for this interview, listening to your music, and watching your videos. I love the musical variety that you have, and how every song has a concept. And they are all different. Let’s start out by talking about your latest album “Songstress Secrets: Confessions of the soul.” What inspired you to record an acoustic album?
Skye Delamey: I wanted to shed light on vocals and the piano as the complex instrument that it is, and really highlight the piano as a bass instrument, and as a treble instrument. Throughout the years people have told me that I really need to put something like this out so they can hear what I can do vocally, and, kind of… unproduced. Not to say I’m staying at the acoustic stuff, but I wanted to have an album like that, and I was excited to do it.
Metal Babe: Very cool. It’s great to have the variety. I love the most recent video you did for “Thor,” especially the way the lightning crashes behind you while you’re playing the piano. It really conveys a lot of emotion. How did you get the idea for this song and video?
SD: Well, it was 2008…The night of L.A.’s biggest thunderstorm, as far as I’m concerned. As an L.A. Native, I’ve never in my life seen rain and lightning bolts to that extent. It was as if I was struck that night, by a musical bolt of lightning. I sat at the piano and songs just came through me, almost as a cosmic source. I was very compelled to just write a song in honor of Thor, the God of thunder and lightning, and “Thor” just came to me.
Metal Babe: Well, you did a great job on that video. There are a couple songs on the album were actually inspired by loved ones from the other side….. Can you tell me more about “Another Chapter” and “I See You There?”
SD: When my Grandpa died, my Mom was so devastated. I just wanted to reach out to her in a spiritual way. There is really nothing that you can buy somebody when they’re hurting over the loss of a loved one. There’s almost nothing you can do. But I felt like a Medium in a way, and I asked my Grandpa what in the world can I possibly do to help heal her pain, and that song, which initially was a poem, came through me about another chapter. He is on the other side in another chapter of being.
Metal Babe: And then the other one, “I See You There,” is for your Grandma?
SD: Yes. That’s for my Grandma. And that one also came through me, almost as a conduit or a Medium….My Mom’s parents were both born deaf and mute, and they were together for 78 years. So it’s really unusual that their first Grandchild, me, ended up being a singer and a songwriter, and I’m all about music and lots of loudness. It was as if I was their voice, reaching out to my Mom, trying to heal her pain.
Metal Babe: Wow. That is amazing….Your musical style is very versatile. You can go from beautifully melodic, to heavy, to punk rock, and then back again. Which style is your favorite? And do you see yourself leaning towards a certain direction in the future?
SD: Over the years I have been advertised as ‘heavy girl rock,’ so I love that genre…but I love the melodic stuff as well. And, ultimately, whether it’s melodic, punk rock, or whatever it is, it has to rock. Also, all the songs, no matter what they are, they also start in that raw state. Even “Francis Farmer” can be played acoustically, with just singing and playing piano. But, no matter what it is, as a songwriter it’s a good indication if you’re able to break it down.
Metal Babe: I was going to ask you about “Francis Farmer.” That’s another video that really stood out to me. It’s definitely one of your heavier songs too. Is this song based on a true story?
SD: It’s in honor of Francis Farmer, the Actress. But it also just sheds light on all the victims of psychiatric drug abuse, including children that are given Ritalin for being creative. “Francis Farmer” was inspired by a trip to CCHR.Org on Sunset Blvd. It’s an organization that advocates for people’s rights, and citizen’s rights, and are against foolishly giving out psychiatric drugs to people that don’t need it.
Metal Babe: It’s good that you’re making it known any way that you can. You are a natural for making videos. It seems you just keep cranking them out. And they are all so visually appealing, unique, and creative. How do you come up with the ideas for your videos, and which comes first, the song or the idea for the video?
SD: Well the song always comes first. And to me as a songwriter, making a video is a visual way of writing a song. It’s like putting your creative vision into a creative format. I’ve had a huge background in acting. And I’ve studied all of that. But I never thought I could make videos, and direct them. But working with wonderful people just inspired me to put my vision into a video format. It’s the same process as songwriting.
Metal Babe: Very cool. Have you thought about directing music videos for other artists?
SD: (laughs) Oh…If I could wear that many hats, I would. I just can’t… What I did, it was because it was very fun, and inspiring; a natural process. But my main passion is music. I am put on the planet to sing and write songs. I gotta focus on my main attraction and passion in life.
Metal Babe: Definitely. So has this been a lifelong passion for you? How did you start playing the piano and singing?
SD: It definitely has been a lifelong passion…Probably from the time I was born! My Dad played, and still plays, the accordion. And as a toddler, it was just lying around. I would crawl over to it and play with the piano keys. I literally fell in love with the ‘magical black keys.’ Literally fell in love… And that was my dream in life, to play piano and sing. So I am very grateful.
Metal Babe: Wow. You did fall in love at a very young age… What types of training have you received?
SD: I have had a whole lot of training. But there is a lot that you discover on your own. I didn’t like a lot of my training. I was kind of rebellious, and I had a hard time with a lot of my music teachers that were more serious. I didn’t like being put in a box. Finally, I rebelled enough to attract the right teacher. And she said to me, Skye, if you wanna sing, feel it with all your heart and really connect with the message of the song. And there was really no looking back after that.
There comes a time when you love something so much that you go beyond what you’re taught and you really discover it. There’s so much out there that once you learn the basics you’re hungry to learn more and there are so many complex cords and keys and different ways of singing. I just really was on a roll to learn all I could, beyond the normal.
Metal Babe: In addition to singing, songwriting, and directing, you recently started your own online magazine Stacatto.tv. What is the primary focus of your magazine and what goals would you like to accomplish with it?
SD: Staccato.tv is a way to give back to the music community and to take my knowledge of music theory and really showcase that. And that’s why it’s called Stacatto, the musical theory term. I used to run a business called musical transformations, and I gave voice lessons at the time, and songwriting consulting, and things like that. I wanted to take what I knew of that and really showcase music as a language. Not just music the lifestyle, but music for what it really is. To give tips to artists, and put a spotlight on actors and businesspersons… Anyone can place an ad on the Spotlight section of Stacatto.tv. It’s a way to showcase what each individual person has to offer.
Metal Babe: Sounds great. Is there anything else that you’d like to share with our Readers?
SD: I’d like to share my website www.skyedelamey.com where you have links to different sites with music and things like. Also check out my YouTube station at www.youtube.com/skyedelamey
Also, I will be performing at the NAMM JAM Kick Off event on Thursday, January 19th at Biggs Grill in Fullerton. It’s going to be exciting, and I’m going to showcase my videos for both “Thor” and “Devil in an Evening Dress.”
Metal Babe: Thank you for your time Skye. I am really looking forward to seeing you perform at the Biggs Grill on January 19th.

Material: What Skye Delamey offers is dark and eccentric. Imagine if Dale Bozzio fronted Judas Priest. To start, she is announced by a man in a military uniform. The two prep the stage with props including a chalkboard for her original “Detention” that—with a mischievous smile—she claims is “based on a true story.” She takes the stage in a spiked bra, fishnet sleeveless gloves and stockings and a pleated skirt reminiscent of a school girl’s uniform.
There was a collage of deceased celebrities—Marilyn Monroe and Kurt Cobain—who, in Delamey’s scathing social commentary song, “Francis Farmer,” were depicted as victims of the “industry of death.” In “Untamed Circus,” the title track of her forthcoming album and tour, she explains her love for animals.
Performance: The leading lady is not shy about using props. For “Francis Farmer” (about the tragic film actress) she wielded a giant syringe and threw pills into the audience. Although it was hard to hear her through the muzzle she donned for “Girlfriend Muzzle,” it made for great theatrics.
Delamey didn’t hesitate to give kudos to the venue, introducing her bandmates and promoting herself succinctly.
Summary: The collage of celebrities was unfortunately not used at this particular show. Those details—the props, costuming and cheeky segues—are what make the set more provocative than the average metal show. There is definitely potential to develop these theatrics to set this act apart.

This new release is an exploration of freedom and authenticity, with the entire album revolving around these themes. Skye’s music is a celebration of individuality and a call to embrace our true selves, and we can’t wait to dive into the inspiration behind ‘Untamed Circus’ and hear about Skye’s creative process. Welcome back, Skye!
What was your Initial attraction joining Music Industry? How do you see it today ?
It was not and is not a choice…it chose me! I have been singing, playing piano and writing songs for most my entire life. There is always a song in my head. A melody, an analysis of a song. It is what I’ve been programmed to do my whole life.
Making Music. How passionate are you about it. How would you define it as a process?
It is my reason for being.
Usually in your case how does song / music making process starts ? Any example ?
The full song is created at my piano or “alter.” The melody, key and time signatures are written. The song is perfected, then taken into a studio to record.
Tell us about your new release? What does it talks about ?
“Untamed Circus,” is a new release about freedom. The entire album has a theme of freedom, and
authenticity.
How important is it for you to go by market trends?
It cant compromise the truth and integrity of your own music and signature.
sound…fads come and go but truth and integrity is eternal.
.
Rejection or acceptance by listeners how much does that it matters to you ?
Everyone has an opinion or preference. Just trust the music you make and don’t
worry about pleasing everyone…the ones it resonates with will get it and love
it…this has been my experience.
Live Performances or Studio Recordings , Your Preferences. Any insights you
would like to quote ?
The stage is a magical place to be for me always…to share what was created at my alter to an audience is always so special and magical. Recordings are an amazing process as well. My motto is to give it my all, not hold back and be generous in what I share….it is like embracing an audience all at once. To me, it’s
a brave act of love.

Interview in Shout Out Los Angeles
Q: Hi Skye, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
A: A feeling of accomplishment, knowing I am living my soul’s purpose and contributing my best to the world.
Q: Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
A: My art is music and music performance and it is what I have done for most all my life since I childhood. It’s the core of who I am. I am excited to continuously share my music with the world. I am always excited about the next show, next project, merchandise, next music video, or album. It is what fuels me. It also inspires me to always stay on my A game. Getting enough rest, exercising daily, eating a healthy raw based diet, meditating, and doing skin facials…these are aspects of my life that help me stay on my A game. Regarding challenges: Music industry has so greatly changed in the last 2 decades, that it’s important to me to be current and up to date. I am grateful to be experiencing some benefits of the new music industry now, instead of worrying about why it is so different than it was before. I am so grateful there is still a music industry and ways artists can make a living. What I would want the world to know about my brand and story is: Stay true to your vision. Honor and cherish any gifts god game you, or what god “built” you for. Embrace that, feel responsible to proceed with your goals. For as long as your heart is beating, you must do what you came to this earth for. These words are actually the inspiration behind recent release, “Party Stoppers Suck.” It’s a song about living your dreams and the life you came here for, and not letting anyone or thing rain on your parade or deter you from your soul’s purpose. Reviews and interviews with Skye:
Skye Delamey is a singer songwriter who has crossed genres in her musical career. A versatile musician, her songs tell a story. Songstress Secrets: Skye's Wonderland is a 15 track album that contains rock, hard rock, and acoustic piano and vocals ballads that are soothing and poignant in their story telling content.Skye's most recent album contains harder rock songs such as "Detention," "Girlfriend Muzzle," "Untamed Circus," and "Raquel," and tell the tale of turbulent youths, the underdog, as well as, essentially, the tale of freedom from being confined in one way or another. This album very truthfully and sincerely portrays the perspective of the one who is told to conform, be confined, or "play by the rules," when in doing so, it's going against one's own integrity or authenticity. Whether its about Raquel's transformation in song "Raquel," or about a satire circus like structured life in "Untamed Circus," or about the confined woman, student, or teen in "Detention," Skye Delamey's newest album boils down to "living by the beat of your own dream," and being empowered because of it.

Interview in Voyage LA magazine:
Question to Skye: What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Answer: If you know in your heart you gave it your all, and you were true to your cause-the show, the performance, song, etc in my case. But in any field-integrity means a lot. There is integrity in knowing you were truthful and gave it your all. Contributing the best of yourself in any field, to me is one example of success.

"Every song I have ever written in my life has been written at my alter a.k.a the piano wether it has piano in it or not. Even the heaviest rock or metal song was written at the piano. Without the piano my musical journey would not have began, and I have been playing it since could crawl." -Skye Delamey in "Shine On Hollywood" magazine interview
Skye Delamey: album review
"Songstress Secrets:
Skye's Wonderland:"
Ingrooves Fontana/Universal Music Group
Hard rock female vocals, excellent songwriting, heavy guitars, futuristic/galactical, yet classic... "Skye's Wonderland" featuring singles "Mercury," and "Thor," also contains the goth infused "blackhole," the determined "Heroics," the time machine themed love story, "Renaissance Past," and the ethereal "Another Chapter" about after life. There is something very seductive about this album that takes to the past, the future, and even the afterlife! With its range, and versatility, it is a testament to the songwriting skill of the Songstress herself, Skye Delamey.

Confessions of the Soul (album review) Skye Delamey's "Confessions of the soul" album consists of the secrets and confessions of her soul, many that others can relate to. This is a rare acoustic singer-songwriter Skye Delamey album consisting of piano and vocals, that really shows the range, and diversity of the artist. It's a simple, profound, elegant, light and romantic, but at the same time, dark and goth in some places. The album consists of the hit song "Thor," written about "L.A.'s biggest thunderstorm," an oxymoron...because in Los Angeles extreme rain and thunder is a rare thing. Skye Delamey sat at her white grand piano on the night of "L.A.'s biggest thunderstorm" and wrote the song "Thor". Another unique ballad on this album is "Renaissance Past," which touches upon reincarnation and reuniting with love from your past. The album is intoxicating, raw, uninhibited, sensual, exciting, and bold. It is all of these things rolled into one. It tells the sensitive tales of being human, while touching upon various subjects. It tells the tale of being a human spirit, an ancient soul, in a modern world or "a foreigner to the world," as sung in "Renaissance Past." As the subject matters vary, so do the songs, the vocal range, key changes, and complexity of song writing. There is a lot diversity in the album, and the listener is in for a treat that intrigues the senses. The album also consists of songs "In the wind," a tale of love, an ode to the "Lizard King, " Jim Morrison, as well as "Vampires," about the nocturnal patrons of the Hollywood night life, as well as the horror fictional tale of "Wolfspirit Sandman," a demon to escape, and maybe a demon of your own min, representing your own fears. You will find in this album, an energy that is classy, refined, and beautiful, yet at the same time, thought provoking, heartfelt, and simply haunting. This album breaks down barriers and molds in performance, deliverance, and in songwriting. All in all, "Confessions of the Soul," is made up of an intriguing collection of songs that are provocative, entertaining, and purely fascinating. This is indeed a daring and honest album, made up of confessions and secrets straight from the soul of the Songstress, herself, Skye Delamey. Skye Delamey belts out her lyrics, and plays the piano like it is an entire symphony of sound come to life.
Radio interview on Pop Roxx Radio: http://tobtr.com/922546
"A true artist is versatile...loud as can be or soft as a lullaby. Your voice is your volume switch if you sing, and your fingertips are your volume switch if you play. The artist gets to decide..and in music theory my favorite is the "furmata" which means you as the artist decide how long to hold the note past the given value.." -Skye Delamey
Clip from CVH First Class Group magazine interview:
Q: Tell us about your albums and where do you get your inspiration?
A: All my inspiration comes from within, or externally. Some times the story is about my own personal experience, but other times, its about some one else's experience. I also have many songs written for causes. Songs " Dungeons," was written for Projectnightlight.org to prevent child abuse; "Heroics," was written for the firefighters, as well as our nation's hereos. "Francis Farmer" was written for an organization called CCHR.org, with the goal of preventing psychiatric and medical drug abuse. My inspiration in part is also a motivation to get my voice heard, or to bring awareness to some thing that the world needs to be aware of . In that way, the song becomes a message. In album "Confessions of the Soul," there is also a song entitled "Another Chapter," about after life. The reason for that song was to bring insight the possibility of an after life, "another chapter," and sharing the message of eternal life and soul living eternally in other dimensions. Some of the songs are very deep, yet others are more light hearted and fun, such as the more recent "Girlfriend Muzzle," On the upcoming album "Untamed Circus.
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: fitness, quality time with family and friends, loved ones, and the beautiful dog! Also, bubble baths, and meditation
Recent Interview clip from Kush magazine:
Monster Rock Radio Interview March 2018 hosted by Buddhaman Q. what do you want to do in this particular incarnation, in this life?A. Sing, act, write, perform... Q. A. my projects Q if you were not an entertainer what would you do?A. I wouldn't be here to begin with if I wasn't an entertainer! It's my mission, I have a message to share, alot of information to share... I have songs on many different topics

Q If you could go back in time and give yourself a bit of advice as you were taking those first steps into adulthood, what would it be?
A Stay focused and don't let anyone or anything deter you from your path. We all are here for a purpose and it s crucial that no heart ache, no bad day, or bad attitude from ourselves or from another person get in the way or cause us to give u or quit. If you don't follow your life purpose, your fire dies. You must stay true to your path and I would give that advice to my younger self if I were to go back in time, as well as to other young people
<![iQ What is one thing about your current job/career you love the most and why?
A. A The freedom and ability to create. Singing, performing, costumes, make up, and our many props and aspects of the stage show are very exciting. In the acting/film world, portraying a character and exploring that truthfully is also very exciting. In the print world, also telling a story through a shoot, a pose, and conveying that is also something I love.
<![iQ What could you say has been one of the most inspirational/magical experiences of your life and why? Prayers answered, dreams coming true are always magical, and feel inspirational, causing me to believe and continue to dream. It's a coincidence that as a young child, it was "Some where over the rainbow" sung by Judy Garland, from The Wizard of Oz, that was one the songs that I learned to sing. "..and the dreams that you dare to dream, really do come true!" These are amazing words...the first part about making a dream come true is having the courage or "dare" to dream it and believe it to begin with..
Los Angellistic Life 1) How young were you when you had your first memories of writing and performing your own shows. Gosh...I was playing my dad's accordion...6 or 8 months old...the keyboard section since the time I could craw;. Then, as soon as I could talk I was singing and entertaining my kid sister, then, singing and entertaining my grandma's friends at her gatherings and parties 2) Growing up did you feel like your musical and artistic interest set you apart from the other kids you went to school with? And if so how?Yes, I didn't at all believe, relate to or logically understand whatsoever the value of "traditional" school for me. I knew at a young age, a lot of what I was forced to learn or participate in had 0 to do with my life path and goals. I did appreciate the value of reading, writing, history, etc but I truly and still to this day believe traditional school is not for everyone, and it was definitely not for me. Sitting in a class room for 8 hours did not make sense to me. For me, I wanted to be performing, be on stage, not sitting in a classroom reading a text book. I also questioned some teachers...wondering why the students had to be subservient to them, if they were rude or disrespectful to kids. Not all teachers I had were good teachers, some were cruel to kids. There was a time in my life where I taught music lessons to kids, and it was important to me to be kind and caring of the students I taught, and to not ever treat them as I saw some of the mean teachers treat their students growing up. 3) Old Hollywood Glamour is really the style I would say best describes you, as a teen was this Hollywood Glamour look already your style? Having to wear a high school uniform, I was forced to stretch my imagination, and old Hollywood is what I found most appealing and time less. I would wear red lipstick, with leopard print purses, and platform heals from a young age. I loved feather boas, etc. I loved clothes, make up, and performing. I identified with Hollywood, and especially old Hollywood glam from a very young age. To me, it was the land and concept of freedom, and all I ever wanted to be. 4)Your songs talk allot about spirituality and oneness, how everything is connected and how energy is forever, Do you feel in a sense that these old Hollywood stars and their energy are guiding you? Yes absolutely. People leave behind a legacy on this earth, even after their spirit leaves, and goes to another dimension. Their imprint on this earth and on the lives they touched still remain. 5)Your stage show is ever evolving and always changing. How much does never doing the same stage show add to being a self made singer songwriter? Or, does your creative artistic nature make it so you could never do the same stage show twice because that's who you are?You must evolve and explore as an entertainer and keep your audience fresh on their toes. It is part of my artistic nature to change and enhance the shows always, as inspiration comes knocking...I also intuitively channel what do I want to share with the audience this time, and what do they need, want to see and explore, and relate to? To shift an audience is a big goal of any performance...to relate to them and some how, some way capture their hearts 6)How is having a monthly residency at The world Famous Whiskey A Go Go? That must be huge and a dream come true for a huge fan of Old Hollywood? As crazy as it may sound, it felt like home. The Whisky stage beckons me time and again. It is familiar territory and it has helped make my some of my dreams come true

Interview in Shine On Hollywood Magazine
Q: If you could go back in time and give yourself a bit of advice as you were taking those first steps into adulthood, what would it be?A: To stay focused on the bigger picture. Our own personal "mission statement," our life's paths is our purpose for living. It is crucial to honor that purpose and to not falter, to never feel guilty about honoring it, and to never waiver. Standing by our purpose in life is in many ways our purpose for living. Q: What could you say has been one of the most inspirational/magical experiences of your life and why? A: Every time a project is completed, every time I am on stage, every time I am with loved ones, every time, I am giving the best of myself to the world, to an audience, or to one other person (or dogs) it is magical to meQ: What were your goals and dreams now and what advice would you give to our readers today? A: No matter what your goal, or your career endeavor, stay focused and do not falter. I have been singing and acting since child hood and I will the rest of my life, it's who I am, what I do. I would tell readers, "Honor and have respect and compassion for your chosen path, whatever it may be. Love and honor yourself along the way. Nurture yourself in ways that are truly satisfying and fulfilling. Do not go outside your wise inner voice for comfort...all guidance and truth comes from within..."Q: Do you have any final thoughts that you would like to let our readers know? A: Live life to the beat of your own drummer
